About the Corps

Welcome to the website of Menasha’s K-9 Corps, a group of concerned citizens and dog advocates who are working to bring a K-9 Unit to the Menasha Police Department. We are a not-for-profit project of Tri-Com. Our goal is to raise $35,000 for covering the initial costs of acquiring an appropriate dog, training the dog and handler team, and equipping the Menasha PD for the housing, transport, and care of the dog.As outlined by officer Paul Scheppf in his proposal, this dog would be a Drug Detection, Tracking, and Community Relations dog … this would not be a dog used for apprehension (the dog would be trained as a no-bite member of the force).Officer Jeff Jorgenson called our board together in January of 2008 to present the need and investigate the possibility of raising the necessary funds for this addition to the force … our response was overwhelming YES! Officer Scheppf & Mike Quinn Post our Community Awareness Dog Bone

So far we have raised almost $30,000 of the $35,000 goal … Thank you for your generous support!

We still have work to do and much of it involves a lot of FUN. We hope you’ll join us as we wrap up our campaign!

Check out our K-9 Creations throughout the City.  You can see pictures, descriptions, and locations on our ‘Spot the Dog‘ page.  Vote for your favorite dog with a $1 donation at Naut’s Landing in downtown Menasha … our ‘fan favorite’ will be announced at Dollar Dog Day in September.
